The Wedding Files / Summer Love

wedding-files-summer-loveThe Australian summer is a time for celebration, relaxation and parties. It’s natural then that a summer wedding in Australia would be full of colour and infused with elements of fun floral design. In celebration of the upcoming season, we have compiled a few of our favourite inspiration images that we feel capture the essence of a summertime wedding bash.

#1 – Few things scream “party!” more than a ceiling of paper lanterns in summer hues and strings of festoon lights. Image via Bridal Guide.

#2 – We would serve up desserts like this for guests to enjoy as they mingle after the ceremony. Image via Style Me Pretty.

#3 – Opt for a modern gown design in crisp white. We love this one from bridal designer Krikor Jabotian. A summer wedding doesn’t mean that you are locked into a bohemian or grecian style gown. A bold bride might try for this laid-back and elegant silhouette.

#4 – Load up the traditional wedding cake with summer blooms. This is a great way for continuing the colour scheme throughout the theming. Plus it clearly looks wonderful in the photos. Image via Lara Holtz Photography.

#5 –  Ice-cream for the guests at a summer wedding is a no brainer. Let guests make their own sundaes for a fun addition to serving dessert. See more ideas for serving up this treat here.

#6 – Bright blooms are a beautiful way to introduce a rainbow of colours to the table settings. Choose hardy varieties of flowers if the ceremony is outside so that the heat doesn’t effect them too much over the course of the party. This shoot was a more bohemian take of summer styling, take a peek here.

#7 – Fresh whites for the whole bridal party are perfect for this time of year. Inject the colourful elements with accessories and bouquets. We loved this real wedding captured by Lara Holtz (whom we adore).

#8 – We don’t believe any wedding is complete without a Soleil Diamond engagement ring. The Trois ring is for when one brilliant cut diamond is not enough. See it (and the rest of our debut collection) here.
